Bridgeport CT Nov 30 2011 A woman was arrested and charged with fifth-degree larceny after she allegedly stole $918 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s department store on Nov. 26, police said.
According to the report, Mary Pagan, 48, stashed jewelry and cosmetics in her own handbag after taking off the tags and placing them in the pockets of jeans on the store racks.
She paid for three children’s outfits and then walked past all points of sales with the stolen items, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said.
She was detained by loss prevention and arrested by the responding officer, according to the report. Pagan was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 6.
