Homeland security officer shoots-kills armed robber www.privateofficer.com
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. Dec 18 2011- Police say a suspect who attempted to rob a McDonald’s restaurant early Saturday morning is shot during the incident.
According to media spokesman Chase Scott from the City of West Palm Beach, the unidentified suspect dressed as a woman was attempting to rob the restaurant located at 2421 Okeechobee Blvd.
Scott says a homeland security officer was in the restaurant at the time and opened fire on the suspect hitting him.
The suspect was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital when he died from his injuries.
McDonald’s spokeswoman Andrea Knibbs tells CBS 12 that all of the employees are doing fine. Knibbs says this is an ongoing police investigation and that the company has cooperated fully with the police.
No further information was given on the name of the officer or the suspect.
