A state-hired security guard for the 188th Fighter Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard has been arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography.
Judson Lee Morrow, 44, was arrested on a warrant for suspicion of distributing, possessing or viewing material depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, according to Sgt. Daniel Grubbs, public information officer for the Fort Smith Police Department.
The Police Department received information from a local woman Monday who alleged that Morrow may be in possession of electronically stored child pornography. Detectives with the Police Department obtained a search warrant and traveled to Morrow’s apartment in the 5800 block of Kinkead Avenue, according to Grubbs.
“During the search, investigators located numerous images of child pornography stored on a laptop computer,” Grubbs stated in a news release. “The computer and data storage devices were seized for further examination.”
Police are investigating whether the pictures are of a local child.
Though Morrow worked as a security guard for the 188th, he was not a Guard member. Morrow is being held at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
