Elderly Texas security officer shoots man who tried to rob him www.privateofficer.com
EL PASO TX Dec 31 2011– An elderly man working as a security guard at a Lower Valley business shot a another man who tired to rob him, police said.
Three men approached the 74-year-old man who was in his vehicle parked inside the secured yard of the A&M Auto Salvage and Garage located at 9725 Alameda Thursday night.
The would-be robbers demanded money and threatened to kill the security guard if he didn’t cooperate. The security guard pulled out a gun and shot one of the men in the upper body, and the other two men ran away.
The suspect who was shot was taken to an area hospital for treatment of what is believed to be a non-life threatening gun shot wound, according to police. Charges are pending against the would be robber.
