FORT WALTON BEACH Fla Jan 14 2012 — A security guard at Troy State University said a man pulled a gun on him and then ran away Thursday night, according to police.
The security guard told police that a man was getting water at a water fountain shortly after 10 p.m., according to an incident report from the Fort Walton Beach police department.
The security guard said that since the business was closed he approached the man and asked if he could help him, the report said.
He did not respond.
After the security guard posed the question two more times, the man turned around and pulled a revolver out of his pants, according to the report.
He pointed it at the security guard and said “don’t (expletive) with me,” according to the report.
The security guard told police he put up his hands and said “we’re cool man.”
He said the man pointed the gun at him for a few more seconds and then ran away, according to the report.
