A woman who would not stop “flicking her hair” on the dance floor of a nightclub was arrested after she pepper-sprayed the bouncer who escorted her out, police said.
Misty R. Austin, 31, of Jacksonville was arrested at Dirty South, 1231 E. Cook St., about 2:20 a.m. The bouncer and witnesses told police she was dancing in the club and was purposely “flicking” her hair into other people’s faces.
Austin and other women on the dance floor allegedly exchanged words. As a bouncer walked up, Austin allegedly grabbed a beer bottle by the neck as if to use it as a weapon, so he grabbed it from her and escorted her out.
When they got to the door, Austin allegedly pulled away and began spraying the bouncer with pepper spray. She then left. When police pulled up, she was walking away from the nightclub screaming profanities, police said. Police said they found an empty container of pepper spray attached to her keys.
