Milwaukee WI Feb 3 2012 A 40-year-old teacher has been jailed after she was found half naked with a 14-year-old boy in the back seat of her car.
Tammi Monty, a sixth grade teacher, was caught by police as she was allegedly about to have sex with the teen.
Police ordered the couple to get dressed and Monty was arrested on felony child enticement.
The boy later told police he had allegedly been pursued by the teacher who had sent him nude pictures and an explicit 30 second video of herself.
An arrest report revealed that Monty had asked the boy for a photo of his genitals and said she wanted to have sex with him.
Investigators said the boy had been sent a text message by Monty offering to pick him up on Saturday.
The pair drove in Monty’s SUV in the early hours of the morning to a deserted car park at a sports center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
An arrest report said the teacher asked the teen how he felt about ‘liking her’ and asked if he wanted to join her in the back seat of the SUV.
The teen said he was scared, but agreed.
A police patrol spotted the lone car parked in the early hours of the morning at the Kinnickinnic Sports Center and went to investigate.
The officer wrote in his report that both Monty and the boy were partially clothes.
Milwaukee Public Schools spokesman Tony Tagliavia said Monty was suspended from the school after they became aware of the arrest
The school sent a letter and made automated phone calls to parents at the affected school, and held a meeting to inform staff.
‘MPS administrators became aware of the arrest over the weekend. We acted immediately. Superintendent (Gregory) Thornton signed a letter removing the teacher from the school,’ Tagliavia said.
‘Given the serious nature of the allegations – and those allegations are extremely troubling – we know this is in the best interest of our students.’
Monty, who teaches sixth and seventh grade at the Manitoba School, is being held at the Milwaukee County jail on $50,000 bond. She faces up to 20 years in jail if convicted.
