CLARKSVILLE, TENN.Feb 7 2012 — A man faces two aggravated assault charges because of his suspected connection to shots fired toward a Ft. Campbell Boulevard business and two of its security employees.
At around 3 a.m. Monday, officers were called to the 2200 Block of Ft. Campbell Boulevard after several shots were fired at a business and two of its security personnel, according to a news release from Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Jim Knoll.
The two security officers told two men they had to leave the business’ lot after a verbal altercation with patrons inside of the business, Knoll said.
As the Chevy Tahoe the men were in left the parking lot, Knoll said, several shots were fired into the air and then toward the security officers.
The Tahoe was then spotted on Ft. Campbell Boulevard, and the driver initially pulled over for police, Knoll said. But, as the officers approached the vehicle, the car sped away.
Officers pursued the Tahoe for a short period of time before the driver lost control on Eva Drive. At that point, Knoll said, both of the men ran from the car.
One of the men, Christopher Wilson, who police believe fired the shots from the vehicle, was found a short time later and taken into custody.
Wilson, 29, who gave a 183 Pine Mountain Road address, was booked into Montgomery County Jail and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $30,000.
