Arizona teens dies after jumping from school bus www.privateofficer.com

 

 

MOHAVE VALLEY AZ March 3 2012 – A Mohave Valley teenager has died a week after authorities say she jumped from a school bus returning from a field trip.

River Valley High School Principal Bud Scully says he received word Thursday afternoon that 17-year-old Desiree Chandler had died at a Las Vegas area hospital.

The Mohave Daily News reports Chandler had been riding home from a field trip to Arizona State University the evening of Feb. 23 when, about two miles east of Vidal Junction, Calif., she reportedly opened an emergency exit on the school bus and jumped out onto the roadway while the bus was still in motion.
