Intoxicated Nashville apartment security guard arrested for aggravated assault
NASHVILLE, Tenn.April 8 2012- A security guard ended up being the one in handcuffs after police say he threatened someone at the apartment complex he was guarding.
Police say Sean Carter, 39, was working as a security guard Friday night in Madison at the Spring Branch Apartments when he heard loud music coming from a vehicle. Carter asked the driver to turn down his music and leave, but the driver refused.
That’s when investigators say Carter crossed the line.
“The security guard went back inside, retrieved a weapon that he had, came back out, and ordered the suspect out of the vehicle and on to the ground at gunpoint,” said Captain Kenneth Walburn with Metro Police.
Carter admitted to police he’d had a few drinks. He was arrested for possession of a weapon while impaired and aggravated assault.
