Watsonville arrested for illegally manufacturing Social Security cards www.privateofficer.com

Watsonville CA April 29 2012 A Watsonville man has been arrested for illegally manufacturing Social Security and resident alien cards, police said.

Agents from the anti-crime team and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security executed a search warrant around 7:50 a.m. Thursday at 313 A Palm Ave., police said.

Officers allegedly found Eulalio Castaneda, 56, of Watsonville, inside and other family members, along with supplies associated with making false documents.

Agents say they found blank resident alien and Social Security cards, printers, typewriters, and a laminating machine. They also allegedly found completed, fraudulent resident alien cards.

Castaneda was arrested Thursday on suspicion of manufacturing fraudulent documents and taken to Santa Cruz County jail to be booked.

Agents from the Department of Homeland Security are trying to determine if federal laws have been broken.

Police would not comment on whether Castaneda is a U.S. citizen.
