BERKELEY COUNTY, SC May 1 2012 - Bond was denied Monday for the man accused of carjacking, kidnapping, and murdering an Indonesian woman over the weekend.
The North Charleston Police Department has charged Tyler Brown-Kelly, 27, is charged with kidnapping, carjacking, possession of a firearm during a violent crime, attempted armed robbery. He is facing a murder charge from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Berkeley Coroner’s Office identified the woman found dead near Interstate 26 on Jedburg Road Saturday morning as 31-year-old Luh Endang Susiani, of Indonesia.

Coroner Bill Salisbury said Susiani died from a gunshot wound to the head.

The North Charleston Police Department officials say they responded to a carjacking just before midnight in the 5600 block of Dorchester Road.

Police say Brown-Kelly approached Susiani and another male victim in the parking lot demanding their black 2000 Toyota Camry. Brown-Kelly also demanded that the female victim get into the car with him, police say.

Brown-Kelly then fled in the vehicle with Susiani, who was found dead on the entrance ramp of I-26 near Jedburg Road a short time later.

A little later, Dorchester County deputies located the car at a club on Mckeen Street in St. George, where Brown-Kelly was seen running from the vehicle. He was taken into custody in St. George.
