Greenville SC security officer wins $1 million dollar lottery www.privateofficer.com

COLUMBIA, SC May 8 2012 - A Greenville man said the $1 million he won won’t change him, lottery officials said.

The nightshift security guard won $1 million in the $10 Diamond Millionaire 10th Anniversary game, South Carolina Education Lottery officials said.

He told officials, “I’m still the same old me,” but he has been hugged a lot. He said he wants to do something special for his mom for Mother’s Day and take care of his girlfriend’s car payment.

While he didn’t release his name, he said when people ask him for money, he tells them to go buy a lottery ticket. He bought his at Harry’s Quick Stop on Old Buncombe Road in Greenville.

He is the fourth $1 million winner to come forward in the instant ticket game, which has one more $1 million top prize remaining.

Harry’s Quick Stop Number 2 received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

To date, the South Carolina Education Lottery has created 69 millionaires.
The winner told officials that he plans to keep working, but is still in shock he won.

“Is this really true?” he asked. “Maybe one day I’ll look in the mirror and this will hit me.”
