Detroit security guard killed during robbery www.privateofficer.com
DETROIT MI May 10 2012- Detroit Police are investigating a fatal shooting at a church parking lot at Tireman and Larchmont on the city’s east side.
The church is the Victory Way Assembly church. Police say the victim was the security guard for the church.
Police say he was in the parking lot when he was approached by two African American men. Officers say some sort of struggle ensued and one of the men fired a shot, hitting the security guard.
Robbery is believed to be the motive, but police say there is no evidence that the church was robbed.
The unidentified victim, an 84 year old man, was taken to the hospital were he was pronounced dead.
Police have no suspects in the shooting.
