Moreno Valley High School teacher arrested for having sex with student www.privateofficer.com

 

Riverside County CA June 2 2012 A Moreno Valley High School teacher has been arrested for having sex with a student, officials reported.

He was arrested for having a sexual relationship with a student.

Another student told the School Resource Officer that the teacher, 38-year-old David Brohamer, and a current student were engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship.

Detectives launched into an investigation and identified a former student as a potential victim of sexual assault. They also gathered several statements and confirmed a sexual relationship had occurred between the victim and Brohamer, a Riverside County Sheriff’s report stated.

The relationship began with the victim was 17-years-old and continued for several months.

Brohamer was detained and arrested on May 31 and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on charges of unlawful sex with a minor.

Brohamer has been teaching at Moreno Valley High School for six years. He was the boy’s and girl’s golf coach and AVID instructor.

Investigators believe that current or former students may be able to provide additional details regarding this investigation, Sgt. Kaas stated.
