Stamford man charged with assaulting bouncer www.privateofficer.com
A bouncer at the bar was speaking to the victim when Alexander Lionetti, 23, approached and punched him in the right side of the head from behind, Barbagallo said. According to the bouncer, Lionetti hit the victim two more times before police arrived and he ran off, the sergeant said.
A friend of the suspect later told police the victim bumped into Lionetti’s girlfriend at another bar and the two got into a verbal argument that was broken up by bouncers, Barbagallo said. The friend also said the incident at Hudson Grille was nonphysical as well.
Lionetti was later found and identified in a parking lot on Spring Street by one of the responding officers and the bouncer from the Hudson Grille, Barbagallo said. The suspect was chased and caught by the officer on Summer Street, where a struggle ensued and the suspect’s head was slammed into a parked car before he was arrested, Barbagallo said.
No damage to the vehicle was listed in the police report, he said.
The fight victim refused medical attention, Barbagallo said.
Lionetti was charged with resisting arrest, third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace, police said.
