Vallejo police car damaged by fleeing shoplifter www.privateofficer.com
Vallejo CA Dec 3 2012 Police arrested three middle-aged women from Richmond after they allegedly stole from Kohl’s and struck a patrol car.
The incident began at about 6 p.m. Saturday when two of the women went inside the store on Admiral Callaghan Lane, began acting suspiciously and grabbing items, police said.
The two attracted the attention of store security personnel, who watched from posted video cameras. The security guards also noticed a third women outside in a silver Volvo station wagon, police said.
The security crew called police and continued to monitor the women as they concealed items on their persons. As officers arrived, the two women ran from the store and jumped into the waiting car, police said.
The women tried to flee, but police quickly boxed them in the parking lot, although the driver ran into a patrol car, causing minor damage, police said.
Police arrested Demetria Jones, 38; ArnettaIsland, 43; and Kimberly Brown, 41; on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.
The driver, Jones, also was booked on suspicion of resisting arrest.
