FRANKFORT, KY Dec 28 2012 – Two masked men walked into a pharmacy, tied up employees and ran off with money, according to police.
The robbery happened at a Rite Aid located on Versailles Road.
Surveillance video captured the men rushing in. One man pulled out a gun instantly while the other man tried to pull down a metal door that prevents people outside of the store to see in.
The men then bound employees with zip ties. The men drug one employee by the collar and made them open a safe.
Frankfort Police Major Fred Deaton explained, “Their potential for violence is at a pretty high level. The way they conducted themselves in robbing the store, they in fact could be a threat to the safety of the community.”
If you have any information in this investigation you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 502-875-8648.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward in this case. Rite Aid is adding $5,000 to their reward.
