Fayetteville NC police charge man with 53 counts of statutory rape www.privateofficer.com
FAYETTEVILLE NC Jan 10 2013 — Detectives with the Youth Services Division of the Fayetteville Police Department arrested Christopher Jason Williams Wednesday and charged him with 53 counts of statutory rape, 53 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, and 53 counts of statutory sex offense.
The charges are in connection with incidents involving a 15-year-old female and the investigation continues into the incidents involving a 14-year-old female.
The investigation began when the 14 year old and her guardian went to police on Jan. 5 and reported that she had been held against her will at a residence in Fayetteville for several weeks and had sexual relations with the occupant of the residence.
During the course of the investigation, detectives responded to the residence to talk with Williams.
After getting permission from Williams to search his residence, detectives found a 15-year-old female hiding inside. During the course of the investigation, it was found that the 15 year old had been staying with the suspect since May 2012 and having sexual relations with the suspect.
Williams is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $1.3 million secured bond.
