SOLOMON, Kansas Feb 7 2013– Amber Stroda, a former Solomon teacher who resigned in October, has posted bond after being arrested for six felonies involving inappropriate relations with two high school students.
Stroda turned herself into authorities Wednesday morning after a warrant was issued for her arrest, Tuesday.
She was arrested on three felony counts of engaging in consensual intercourse and three counts of engaging in consensual sodomy.
“This event has really shaken our school, shaken our community. We need to find the path back to normalcy,” said USD 393 Superintendent, Jim Runge.
This past October Stroda resigned her position as USD 393 third grade teacher; after allegations started to surface of a possible inappropriate sexual relationship with two high school students.
“It’s just taken a long time because of the number of people you have to talk to and interview,” said Dickinson County Sheriff, Gareth Hoffman.
Formal charges against Stroda are pending.
