Jacksonville Florida police officer commits suicide at headquarters www.privateofficer.com
JACKSONVILLE, FL March 10 2013 – An officer was found dead in his police cruiser outside the Jacksonville Police headquarters this morning.
That’s according to Jacksonville County Undersheriff Dwain Senterfitt.
In a news conference, he said the officer died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He said K-9 officer Ed Krawczyk disappeared last night while on duty, and a fellow officer found him in his cruiser this morning.
Senterfitt said Krawczyk was a 20-year veteran of the force and had been battling cancer for years.
