MADISON, MISS – March 14 2013
There is new information about a WLBT weatherman arrested on sexual battery charges. The police report about suspect Eric Law shows that an investigator said she viewed Facebook messages between Law and a 15 year old girl.
He’s been suspended from WLBT, which is owned by Raycom Media, until further notice. “I owe all of my success to God, my mom, my wife, and the teachers I had throughout my schooling years. Without their love and support, I would never have been able to accomplish my dreams,” Law wrote on his blog.
“In spare time, I enjoy watching TV, especially any Law & Order episode. I’ve seen them all, many dozens of times. I also enjoy gardening, storm chasing, surfing the Internet, and attending Mississippi Braves’ games. Most importantly I enjoy spending time with family and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,” he wrote on his blog. WJTV contacted WLBT for comment. Their news director told WJTV that Law has been suspended until further notice. Raycom Media also owns WMBF in Myrtle Beach, WIS-TV in Columbia and WBTV in Charlotte, among other TV stations.
