Mississippi TV weatherman charged with having sex with teenager www.privateofficer.com

MADISON, MISS – March 14 2013
There is new information about a WLBT weatherman arrested on sexual battery charges. The police report about suspect Eric Law shows that an investigator said she viewed Facebook messages between Law and a 15 year old girl.

The messages indicated the weatherman from the Jackson, Miss. media market and the teen had sexual contact when she would spend the night at his home, police said. The report also stated she and Law would go into the “law and order room” at his house and this is when they would engage in sexual behavior. The meteorologist is out of jail on a $200,000 bond. Last Thursday, he was charged with two counts of sexual battery and two more for gratification of lust.

On his Google+ bio page he describes himself as “TV weatherman by day, Jesus-lover all the time.” He says that he met his wife in a Christian Internet chat room in 1999.
The meteorologist attended UNC-Asheville and was born in Danville. He also says on his blog that he is an avid “Law and Order” TV show watcher.
“I work for WLBT-TV in Jackson, MS as a Meteorologist. That’s right, I’m one of those TV weather people. I love God and am saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. I’m married. No kids, but my wife and I serve as uncle and aunt to many kids from church,” he wrote on Google+.

He’s been suspended from WLBT, which is owned by Raycom Media, until further notice. “I owe all of my success to God, my mom, my wife, and the teachers I had throughout my schooling years. Without their love and support, I would never have been able to accomplish my dreams,” Law wrote on his blog.
“In spare time, I enjoy watching TV, especially any Law & Order episode. I’ve seen them all, many dozens of times. I also enjoy gardening, storm chasing, surfing the Internet, and attending Mississippi Braves’ games. Most importantly I enjoy spending time with family and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,” he wrote on his blog.  WJTV contacted WLBT for comment. Their news director told WJTV that Law has been suspended until further notice.  Raycom Media also owns WMBF in Myrtle Beach, WIS-TV in Columbia and WBTV in Charlotte, among other TV stations.
