<description>I have been in the law enforcement and private security fields for over 25 years. I have worked in both Los Angeles ans San Francisco, California in all aspects of security. I work now as a Private Security Officer in a City &amp; County Building in San Francisco where I am Director of Security. I oversee all aspects of security related objectives in an 8 story office building housing many aspects of City and County executive endeavours including a department of the Mayors office.

I am now 53 years of age and still going strong as ever. I see myself as continuing in this field well past my retirement age. I have always believed that there is no substitute for experience and that knowledge is power.

In my career as a PSO I had made one major arrest of an armed gunman who had tried to rob a UPS driver until I happened on the scene and took the subject down in a bear hug fashion, pinning his hands to his side and preventing him from shooting his weapon. He was taken into custody by San Francisco Police Officers. I appeared in court at his criminal hearing and testified against him thus helping to convict him and send him back to prison where he had just been paroled from only a few months prior to his arrest on this charge. The Chief of Police, Fred Lau, honored me with a Departmental Certificate of Appreciation for bravery as a result of the take down and arrest. I was photographed and the article was posted as a headline article in the Sunday paper of the San Francisco Chronicle in 1994.

I am very happy that someone has taken the time to create a terrific organization as the National Association of Private Officers. I am both thrilled and honored to become a member and I look forward to continuing with you for many years to come.

Respectfully.
D.Angelino Leonetti,
MPS
