Arrest warrants for $1 million each are being issued for Adan Virgen-Ponce, 28, and Concepcion S. Virgen, 20.
Prosecutor Steve Lowe said his office is filing second-degree murder charges against the men. Initial reports were that the men were cousins but prosecutors now say Virgen-Ponce is the uncle of Virgen.
Pasco police have not yet located them.
Froilan Godines, 41, of Kennewick, was stabbed multiple times after finishing up work at El Patron Night Club, 1107 W. Lewis St. He’d reportedly left the bar after 2 a.m. and was headed to his car in a nearby parking lot when he was attacked.
Officers found Godinez lying in the alley. He was taken to Lourdes Medical Center and died a short time later, police said.
Godines was born in Mexico, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 13 years. He was a maintenance mechanic.
A witness told the Herald that Adan Virgen had been in the club earlier that night but left about 1:15 a.m.
She claimed that Virgen got into a confrontation with the security guard when Godinez was checking to make sure Virgen wasn’t carrying any alcohol out of the club.
The witness said Virgen agreed to leave, but not before he “pointed a finger at Froilan and said, ‘But I’ll be back.’”
The men are believed to have fled the scene in a white 1996 Dodge Stratus with Washington license plate 202-SXL.
Adan Virgen-Ponce is described as about 5-foot-8, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Concepcion Virgen is about 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
