Hospital disturbance leads to drug arrest www.privateofficer.com
Downers Grove IL June 21 2011 A 46-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested for possession of marijuana at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital after a bag containing 7 grams of the green leafy substance fell out of his pocket in front of a security guard, Downers Grove police said Monday.
Police made the arrest after responding to a call from hospital security because two men were loudly arguing in the medical facility’s parking lot, a report states.
At some point, a hospital security guard approached the arguing Bolingbrook man and requested to see his identification, police said. When the man reached into his right front pocket to pull out his identification the plastic bag containing about a quarter of an ounce of marijuana fell out, police said. A wooden pipe was also seized during the arrest, police said.
A report states the other man involved in the disagreement left before police arrived.
The Bolingbrook man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana under the Downers Grove village ordinance and has a pending court date. Police seized his pipe and marijuana as evidence.
