“Gypsy cop” arrested in porn investigation www.privateofficer.com

ARLINGTON TX Sept 16 2009 — He’s known as a “gypsy cop” — traveling from town to town taking jobs with law enforcement.
Now, Michael Meissner has been arrested in Arlington, charged with seven felony counts, including possession or promotion of child pornography; promotion of prostitution; and engaging in organized crime in Dallas and Tarrant counties, authorities said.
After search warrants were issued, police investigators intercepted electronic messages that were part of the evidence.
“These were very sexually graphic messages, including information regarding a pornography operation that he was engaging in as well as the aggravated promotion of prostitution,” said Combine police detective J. Hoskins.
Meissner, 39, had most recently been a police officer in Little River-Academy, Texas, about 150 miles south of Dallas. He was featured in a series of News 8 Investigates reports in 2007. At the time, he was police chief in Caney City, a small town in Henderson County.
The veteran of 17 small-town law enforcement jobs in the past 18 years seemed to operate under his own rules, spending much of his time working off-duty security jobs 60 miles away in Dallas.
The News 8 report found that Meissner had used a phony college diploma for certification and failed to let his employers know that he had been arrested twice.
Investigators say Meissner is an embarrassment to law enforcement. They say they found evidence that he e-mailed information about a person who had wronged him to a blogger in New Hampshire. That person then wrote inflammatory remarks about that man.
Hoskins is accused of intending to harm that man.
“This all started as one investigation into the misuse of official information, but we got other evidence of other crimes in multiple jurisdictions as a result of our search warrants,” Detective Hoskins said.
Meissner is accused of engaging in organized criminal activity and retaliation, and as a result of examining phone records and e-mail messages additional felony cases were developed related to pornography and solicitation of minors.
Bond is set at $1.5 million, and officials believe they have only scratched the surface in this case.
Meissner could face 110 years in prison and a $70,000 fine, according to police in Combine, which secured and executed the arrest warrants. Combine straddles Dallas and Kaufman counties. It’s about 25 miles southeast of Dallas.

Federal agents arrest security guard for internet hacking www.privateofficer.com

Arlington TX July 1 2009
A man from Arlington, Texas, who worked as a contract security guard at the Carrell Clinic on North Central Expressway in Dallas, has been arrested on felony charges outlined in a criminal complaint, announced Acting U.S. Attorney James T. Jacks of the Northern District of Texas.
Late Friday evening, agents with the FBI arrested Jesse William McGraw, a/k/a “GhostExodus,” “PhantomExodizzmo,” “Howard Daniel Bertin,” “Howard William McGraw,” and “Howard Rogers,” age 25. McGraw appeared yesterday afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Wm. F. Sanderson, Jr., for his initial appearance. He was detained until his probable cause and detention hearing set for Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at 2:30 p.m., before Judge Sanderson.
According to the affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, McGraw is the leader of the hacker group, “Electronik Tribulation Army.” He was employed as a security guard for United Protection Services, in Dallas, and worked the night shift, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. at the Carrell Clinic hospital.
The affidavit alleges that between April and June 2009, McGraw committed computer intrusions of several computers in the Carrell Clinic hospital building, including computers controlling the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system and computers containing confidential patient information. The HVAC system intrusion presented a health and safety risk to patients who could be adversely affected by the cooling if it were turned off during Texas summer weather conditions. In addition, the hospital maintained drugs which could be adversely affected by the lack of proper cooling. McGraw, who used the online nickname “GhostExodus,” posted pictures on the Internet of the compromised HVAC system and videos of himself compromising a computer system in a hospital.
Further investigation revealed that McGraw was planning to use his compromised systems to commit additional crimes on or before July 4, 2009, a date that McGraw, according to the affidavit, called “Devil’s Day.” He posted videos on the Internet which included admonition to other hackers to assist him in conducting unauthorized computer intrusions in support of a “massive DDOS” on July 4, 2009. DDOS is an acronym for Distributed Denial of Service and is a type of computer attack in which an unauthorized individual assumes control of other computers and uses the massed ability of those computers, over which they have unauthorized access and control, to attack targeted computers. The investigation also revealed that McGraw recently provided United Protection Services his one week notice and his last day of work was to be July 3, 2009, the day before the scheduled DDOS attack.
Upon McGraw’s arrest on Friday evening, the Carrell Clinic IT staff identified and remediated the numerous compromised computers in the building.
A federal complaint is a written statement of the essential facts of the offenses charged, and must be made under oath before a magistrate judge. A defendant is entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
In stating that the investigation is ongoing, Acting U.S. Attorney Jacks praised the investigative efforts of the FBI and Texas Attorney General Criminal Investigation Division. Assistant U.S. Attorney C. S. Heath is prosecuting

Two men believed to be the people seen in a surveillance video of an east Arlington game room Sunday have been arrested in the slaying of a security guard at the business, police said.
Ali Ahmed Aziz, 42, was shot to death 6 a.m. Sunday at the Bida LA Game Room at the 2500 block of East Arkansas Lane.
Police released the video to the media on Monday, and the images were used to identify the suspects, said Officer Zhivonni McDonnell, Arlington Police spokeswoman.
Also, a confidential informant helped with making the identifications, McDonnell said.
“That video helped a lot,” she said.
The suspects were identified as Chris Money, 18, and Kerry Michael Dronso, 23, McDonnell said.
Dronso was arrested Tuesday by police from Arlington and Fort Worth at the Howard Johnson Hotel in the 2000 block of East Copeland Road in Fort Worth, McDonnell said.
He faces charges of capital murder, with no bond allowed, along with Fort Worth warrants for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver, McDonnell said.
Money was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at an address in the 3700 block of Silveroaks Cluster. He was also charged with capital murder.
