Police said that an armed man attempted to rob a local bank this week but that security quickly nabbed him.
The knife-wielding man robbed the US Bank at 721 Locust Street on Monday morning, but as he fled he was caught by bank security officers and arrested shortly after the incident.

The man, who police have not yet released his identity, entered the bank about 8:30 a.m. and displayed a knife, then pointed the weapon at a teller and handed over a note demanding money. He left with money but the security guards were able to quickly catch up and subdue him.

No one was injured during the incident according to police.
The suspect has been booked for armed robbery and could face federal bank robbery charges.
