Charlotte nightclub security officer shot www.privateofficer.com

Charlotte NC Feb 21 2011 Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spent much of the night interviewing patrons after two people were injured in a shooting at a north Charlotte nightclub.

Police say a security guard and a patron at Club 124, on Atando Avenue, were hurt in the incident, which happened a short time after midnight. The two victims were hospitalized, and the extent of their injuries is not known.

According to police reports, several patrons at the club were asked to leave after a disturbance inside. Moments after the patrons were escorted outside and the door closed, shots rang out, witnesses told police. The guard and patron were hit by the gunfire.

Police have not many any arrests but plan to check surveillance video camera at the club.
