LILBURN, Ga. Oct 8 2010 — Lilburn police said a man wanted in connection with the assault of a 14-year-old girl at a Walmart store has surrendered.
Police said David Michael Berusch, 26, of Lilburn, turned himself in to Lilburn Police Wednesday evening.
“I would like to thank all of the media outlets who covered this case over the past couple of days,” wrote Capt. Bruce Hedley in an e-mail to Channel 2 Action News.
Police said Berusch was photographed by a surveillance camera inside the store.
The assault happened at about 8:40 p.m. Friday at the Walmart in the 4000 block of Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn, police said.
After releasing the video of the suspect, investigators said they received numerous tips from the public.
