School principals shot, man arrested www.privateofficer.com

KNOXVILLE TN Feb 10 2010 (AP) — The former boss of an elementary school teacher charged with shooting two administrators at his school says the man threatened him over a work dispute in the 1990s.

Police charged Mark Stephen Foster of Clinton with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Hospital officials said Inskip Elementary School Principal Elisa Luna was in critical condition and Assistant Principal Amy Brace was in stable condition after the Wednesday shooting.

Terry Mullins, CEO of Oak Ridge Tool Engineering, said Foster made an attempt on his life several years ago after he was laid off.

The suspect’s brother, Anthony Foster, said that he hasn’t talked to his brother in about four years because of “family problems,” although they are neighbors.
