Lake Wales Fla Jan 8 2012 A Kohl’s department store worker is accused of stealing a wallet from a woman’s missing purse Tuesday.

Ericka Smith of Lake Wales was caught on video stealing from the purse after a customer found it in a cart at the store at 2803 Ridge Way, police said.

The owner of the purse came to the store to retrieve it and found her wallet gone, police said.

It held about $440 in cash along with credit cards and identification.

Smith admitted to the crime after police found video of her stealing, police said. She was jailed on a charge of grand theft.
