Police said a security guard patrolling a Bethlehem construction site hit by copper thieves was slashed by someone armed with a knife early Wednesday.
Police said a security guard patrolling a Bethlehem construction site hit by copper thieves was slashed by someone armed with a knife early Wednesday.
The attack happened at 12:45 a.m. at an apartment building site at 2701 Cherry Lane. Marc Yerashunas, 24, of Kingston, Penn., was treated and released from St. Luke’s Hospital-Fountain Hill for cuts on his arm and neck.
According to police:
The site has been hit at least twice by copper thefts and Yerashunas was patrolling the property when he heard a noise in a room.
A man attacked him and police believe the suspect had a knife. Yerashunas could give no description of the man, other than to say he was wearing dark clothes.
