Oklahoma casino employee pleads guilty to embezzlement www.privateofficer.com

 

NEWCASTLE OKL May 5 2012 — Juanita Marie Stevenson, 26, of Norman, pleaded guilty to embezzlement from the Newcastle Gaming Center, Sanford C. Coats, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, announced Wednesday.

According to the court records and the plea proceedings, Stevenson was an employee at the casino, which is on American Indian land and is operated by the Chickasaw Nation.

Stevenson admitted that in April and May 2007 she helped security guards, family and friends win promotional games that were intended for random drawing. The parties agreed that the financial loss did not exceed $17,500.

Stevenson will be sentenced Aug. 1.
