Dallas TX Jan 13 2012 A murder suspect was arrested Tuesday in the shooting of a bouncer last weekend in northwest Dallas.
Armed with guns, police say, Roberto Garcia Jr. and an accomplice rang the doorbell about 7 a.m. Sunday at Seoul Dream — an apparent Korean restaurant in the 2500 block of Walnut Hill Lane that police say operates as a game room.
When a man inside opened the door, the two suspects allegedly barged in, holding him at gunpoint as a human shield as they made a beeline for the establishment’s bouncer, Peter Granados, 37.
After a brief conversation, police documents state, Garcia, 34, shot the bouncer “unprovoked and for unknown reason.” Both suspects then fled the scene, taking nothing. The man who opened the door also fled before police arrived.
Other witnesses, one of whom knew Garcia, identified him as the shooter.
Police said an anonymous tip led them to a Plano residence Tuesday where Garcia, who has a history of minor drug convictions, was arrested on a charge of murder.
