Six people were arrested at the Chumash Casino Monday night on various drug-related charges, according to county Sheriff’s officials.
Just after 10 p.m. Monday, casino security observed a group of suspicious people involved in what appeared to be a drug transaction, said Sgt. Clyde George.
Sheriff’s deputies were called and arrested Jamie Higginbotham, 36, of Santa Paula, and Samantha Pletcher, 22, a transient, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, the sale of methamphetamine, a felon in possession of a firearm and conspiracy to distribute drugs.
Both were booked and held in lieu of $30,000 bail each.
Other arrests included Fredrick Wilson, 51, of Ojai, who was booked on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and for a $10,000 warrant; Sal Federico, 29, of Ventura, was booked on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and being under the influence; and Robert Donohue, 41, of Santa Paula, and Janna Fettis, 33, were booked on suspicion of being under the influence.
