Young also contacted a representative from Evergreen Treatment to keep him informed of unfolding events.
The center’s representative drove to the facility, saw a suspicious car in the parking lot and lights on inside the building that shouldn’t be. He asked Young to call police.
As police were responding, Young continued to monitor the facility and when officers arrived at the center they conducted a building search and found a man inside and took him into custody.
According to police, the man got in through an unlocked door.
Because of the professional response by the alarm operator and the speedy response of police and the security patrol, a quick arrest was made and there was no damage done to the center and nothing was taken.
The unidentified man was transported to the King County Detention Center and booked on burglary charges.

Shoplifter stabs security officer http://www.privateofficer.com
Seattle WA Dec 8 2008
A plainclothes security officer was stabbed at Westfield Southcenter mall Sunday night by a shoplifter he tried to detain, Tukwila police said.
The security officer, who suffered minor injuries to his hand and arm, was treated at an area hospital and released.
Police said the incident occurred around 6:18 p.m. at the Sears outlet at the mall. After stabbing the guard, the shoplifter fled on foot but was taken into custody later in a nearby restaurant parking lot, police said.
The suspect, a 46-year-old Monroe man, remained in custody late Sunday night.
The stabbing occurred 15 days after Diaquan Jones, 16, was killed and Jermaine McGowan, 15, was wounded in a shooting that shut down the mall for several hours.
Barry Lee Saunders Jr., 21, has been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree assault in the Nov. 22 incident. He was arrested in Portland Nov. 26.
Saunders has waived extradition and could be arraigned in King County Superior Court as soon as this week. A lawyer representing Saunders has said his client thought he was acting in self-defense and to protect his brother when he fired a handgun in the crowded mall.
That shooting stemmed from a fight that began after gang signs were flashed, according to police.

Police say alertness and training played a key role in the arrest of several suspects now charged with federal offenses.
Port of Seattle police and the FBI arrested a pair of convicted forgers who were about to board an airplane to Los Angeles carrying dozens of phony driver’s licenses, credit cards and other documents after airport employees notified TSA agents about suspicous behaviour.
The couple were arrested Friday at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport after they drew attention to themselves by paying cash for one-way tickets to Los Angeles and not checking any luggage. That aroused suspicion at the ticket counter and amoung TSA security officers who conducted an inspection of their carry-on bags at a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint.

That aroused suspicion at the ticket counter and amoung TSA security officers who conducted an inspection of their carry-on bags at a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint.
Police say because of that inspection they recovered dozens of identity documents, many bearing their photographs, from several different states along with other documents that appeared to be forged.
Some of the documents bore photos of other, unidentified individuals, according to federal charging papers filed this morning. A check of driver’s license databases showed those individuals were not the people the licenses were issued to, said FBI Special Agent Kathleen Moran.
Lamos Wayne Sturgis and Jodi Lynn Waller were each charged with a single count of possession with intent to use or transfer five or more false identification documents.
National crime computer records show Waller has used several aliases, and has a 1997 conviction for forgery. Sturgis also has used several other identities. Moran said he was convicted in April of forgery of a financial transaction card in Georgia.

Because of complete and speedy teamwork these arrests were able to be made before the two left the airport an official said.
Both are being held and will make an appearance before a U.S. magistrate judge who will set any bond amount.

32 Illegal immigrants arrested at airplane manufacturing plant http://www.privateofficer.com
By Seattle Times staff
Seattle WA June 29 2008
A federal search warrant executed Thursday at an aircraft-manufacturing plant in Arlington, part of a national effort to crack down on illegal immigrants, resulted in the arrest of 32 workers.
The search warrant was executed at Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies, a leading supplier of airplane-frame and -interior parts used by Boeing and other companies in commercial and military planes, according to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) news release.
The undocumented workers were from Mexico and El Salvador, ICE officials said.
Four of those arrested were released on humanitarian grounds after being interviewed, but the others were in custody at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma.
The operation was part of an effort to enforce immigration laws at work sites where security-sensitive information is accessible.
ICE said the Arlington company has ties to a trade organization that oversees the export and import of certain products that could be connected with national defense.

Lesbians say they were picked on by security officer http://www.privateofficer.com
SEATTLE WA. May 30 2008 A local lesbian couple says a peck on the lips nearly got the two of them tossed out of a Mariners game.
The women said in an arena where even chanting and screaming are allowed, they were singled out by a security guard simply because they kissed each other.
Sirbrina Guerrero says she only gave her date a peck, but a mother sitting with her son complained to security and, as a result, they were told to stop or leave.
“And he (the security guard) goes ‘there’s a lady whose son says he saw you guys making out, and I did, too. And you have to stop.’ And I said ‘well, we weren’t making out, but we were kissing and I’m not going to stop,’” said Guerrero.
Guerrero says the only reason she was called out was because of her sexual orientation.
“(The security guard said) the mom doesn’t want to explain to the kids why two girls are kissing. So I said ‘well, I’m not going to stop, so you’ll have to kick me out. So he said ‘so I suggest you leave then,”‘ she said.
Safeco Field officials refused to comment on the incident. However, officials did send KOMO News a copy of the field’s code of conduct which states “displays of affection are not appropriate in a public family setting.”
But Guerrero and her friends don’t buy it. After Guerrero was flagged at the game, they took pictures of other couples who kissed but were not reprimanded. Those couples, they said, were heterosexual.
Guerrero’s friend Melissa Benavites, who was also at the game, said Guerrero did not lash out inappropriately at the security guard. She also said her friend’s reaction was not overly sensitive.
“No, no. Not too sensitive about a situation like this. I mean, it could have been handled in another way,” she said.
When asked whether she and her date were acting lewd in any way that would have prompted such a firm response from the security guard, Guerrero said, “We were eating garlic fries. The last thing we wanted to do was make out with each other. Honestly, that’s what it was.”
Safeco officials are questioning all staff members involved. They refused to discuss details, but did say their security guards would never target same-sex couples
