http://www.privateofficer.com/ Boynton Beach police say a shoplifter tried to run over a security officer at the Wal-Mart near the Boynton Beach mall.
According to police, the suspect tried to steal two X-Box games and a can of onion dip from the Wal-Mart at 3200 Old Boynton Rd. and was confronted outside by store security agents. He shoved both and ran to his car, dropping the shoplifting items.
As one of the security officers approached his vehicle he threw the car into reverse and his open car door struck one of the security officers, dragging him several feet, then made an abrupt stop, throwing the officer to the pavement, the entry said.
The security officer was able to get the tag information from the vehicle and police went to his home and arrested him at 9:15pm Sunday.
Joseph A. Judd, 26, is charged with aggravated battery and strong arm robbery
Judd was being held in the Palm Beach County Jail and was expected to have a bond hearing this morning.
The security officers suffered minor injuries in this incident.

http://www.privateofficer.com/- Police said that a shoplifting suspect got violent with a loss prevention agent when she tried to leave the store with merchandise that had not been paid for and she was confronted by security.
According to police, the shoplifter tried to attack the JC Penny loss prevention officer with a knife, after he allegedly tried to steal from the Cottonwood Mall store back in September and he was able to flee at that time.
Now police have arrested Adrian Herrera, 41, who appeared before a judge on Saturday.
Police said that Herrera was arrested Friday evening on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Herrera’s teenage daughter was with him during the alleged incident.
Herrera is being held on a bond release at this time.
