PrivateOfficer.com Police said that they were called to an area store after security said that a man shoplifted twice from the Claymont K-Mart.
State police say Randy Branton, of Wilmington, walked into the K-Mart at 333 Naamans Road with a receipt he found in the parking lot and then proceeded to shoplift several items.
He grabbed merchandise from the shelves and returned it to customer service who gave him store credit.
Although he got away with it the first time he decided to push his luck and came back for another go around according to loss prevention agents.
This time, Branton bought new merchandise with the store credit and then tried to return it for cash. Store loss prevention agents apprehended and detained him until officers arrived, even as Branton threatened to hurt someone if they didn’t comply.
Police took Branton into custody and he now faces theft and disorderly conduct charges.
